Dr Jane Tuckerman is a Senior Research Officer with the Vaccine Uptake group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. Additionally, she works with SAEFVIC (Surveillance of Adverse Events Following Vaccination in the Community) also at MCRI and holds honorary appointments with The University of Melbourne and the Royal Children’s Hospital. She received an MCRI ECR Fellowship in 2022.

Jane is motivated by research translated into health system and hospital policy changes, in particular supporting vaccine service delivery for prioritized and hard-to reach populations most impacted by health policy. She completed a PhD on barriers to influenza vaccination in children medically at-risk and leads a program of research around prioritized and hard-to reach populations and vaccine service delivery, including adolescents, migrant families, pregnant women as well as children and adolescents with high-risk medical conditions or disabilities. In her research with SAEFVIC, Jane contributes to several clinical studies related to infectious diseases epidemiology including respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and COVID-19.
