Dr Gabriella Springall is Program Manager of Infection, Immunity and Global Health at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI). Gabriella completed undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering and Physiology and Pharmacology at James Cook University. Subsequently, she worked as a Research Assistant within the Heart Research Group at the MCRI prior to commencing her Doctor of Philosophy studies through the University of Melbourne. Her research involved collaboration with several major Eating Disorder Services in Melbourne to report on the short- and long-term implications of anorexia nervosa on physical and mental health, as well as the impact of COVID-19 on these patients. Gabriella has since completed a Master of Teaching through Griffith University while dually working as Program Manager. Gabriella is passionate about the sharing of knowledge and using research to guide policy and practice.
