Professor Kathryn North AC awarded Research Australia's Peter Wills Medal

Our Director, Professor Kathryn North AC, David Danks Professor of Child Health Research at the University of Melbourne and Lead at Australian Genomics, has been awarded Research Australia's Peter Wills Medal for 2019.

The Peter Wills Medal is the flagship award from Research Australia, recognising an outstanding, long-term contribution to building Australia's international reputation in areas of health and medical research and fostering collaboration for better health. 

By establishing and leveraging opportunities to improve collaboration at a national and global level, Professor North is a key driver of integrating genetic testing and diagnosis into standard healthcare.

Professor North is shaping the future of Australian medical research and clinical practice, setting new standards for international healthcare delivery, and ensuring our health and medical research sector remains at the forefront of global innovation.
